CJ's Allergies

So about a week ago CJ went to the allergy doctors and basically he is allergic to the state of Utah. He is allergic to all trees, weeds, animal dander, and everything else you can imagine. This is what his back looked like after all the tests were done.

Mom's birthday weekend

a few weekends ago we (our family and the Cannon's) went up to East Canyon Resort for a fun little sleepover. we stayed in the condos. they are actually quite nice. everyone had a bed except poor little me so i though if i brought a air mattress up i would be fine. well i wasn't. it flattened in the middle of the night so i ended up sleeping on the floor which is what i tried to avoid. so we went to lodge for dinner. they have a new guy in there and he is actually a really good cook and i hope he stays around for a while. the chips and salsa are soooo good. so we played Jenga, Uno and watched Angels and Demons. that movie is a little odd but kinda good. so then we woke up in the morning so excited for french toast and special syrup. well my mother forgot to bring some of the stuff for the special syrup. thats what happens when you don't make a list. so we had to have regular syrup. we went sledding. it was a blast! the only part that sucked was walking up the hill but doesn't that always suck. there was a jump that someone had made. no matter how you tried to avoid it you always hit it. so we would go flying in the air and then smack down on you butt it really hurt most of the time. it was a really fun night and i hope we can do it again sometime.

No isn't one of my favorite words

i asked my friend to sweethearts by heartattacking his front porch. it was funny to do because there was i think over 200 hearts that i had cut out. so i wrote my name under two of them. he had to find those two to figure out who had asked him. so i knew he had figured it out so i was just waiting for him to answer back. so saturday night he called me and we talked for a while and he explained that yes he had loved how i had asked him and that he was sorry but someone else asked him first so he was going to be going with her. so ya of course i was sad but i am over it. yes it would have been so so so much fun to go with him but it isn't the end of the world it is only a high school dance.

I have to try again :(

so i took my road test today. well by the title of this post you can assume i didn't pass which would be a correct assumption. i decided that i failed all my driving things at least once and passed the second time so i will pass next time. I failed my permit test the first time and then passed the second, i fail i written test the first time then passed the second time. the only reason i didn't pass was because i was taught by my teacher to always move into the middle yellow lines for a u-turn and i had to do a u-turn and i crossed a double yellow line and didn't realize. i am so mad at myself cuz i know you shouldn't cross the double yellow line. i think the thing that messed me up was that it was a course not the actual road and that messed with me a little bit cuz you have to really have a good imagination to do it well. so now i have to go in on monday and take it again. i am so upset with myself cuz i knew better then to do something stupid like that.

Daddy's Rule for Dating

I got this from my Child Development teacher. i thought it was hilarious and a little dramatic in my opintion. this is your dad's rules for your boyfriend (or for you if you're a guy):

*Rule One: if you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering a package, because you're sure not picking anything up.

*Rule Two: you do not touch my daughter in front of me. you may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. if you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of her body, i will remove them

*Rule Three: i am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their pants so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. please don't take this as an insult but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. still, i want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so i propose this compromise: you may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes to big, and i will not object. however, in order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact come off during the course of your date with my daughter, i will take my electric nail gun and fasten your pants securely in place to your waist.

*Rule Four: i am sure you've been told that in today's world, sex without utilizing a 'Barrier Method' of some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate, when it comes to sex, i am the barrier, and i will kill you

*Rule Five: it is usually understood that in order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. PLEASE do not do this. the only information i require from you is an indication of when you expect to have my daughter safely back at my house, and the only word i need from you on this subject is: 'early'

*Rule Six: i have no doubt you are a popular fellow with many opportunities to date other girls. this is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. otherwise once you have gone out with my little girl you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. if you make her cry. i will make you cry.

*Rule Seven: as you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear and more than and hour goes by do not sign and fidget. if you want to be on time for the movie you should not be dating. my daughter is putting on her makeup a process that can take longer than painting the Golden Gate Bridge. instead of just standing there why don't you do something useful like changing the oil in my car.

*Rule Eight: the following places are not appropriate for a date with my daughter: places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer then a wooden stool. places where there is darkness. places where there is dancing, holding hands, or happiness. places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to induce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops or anything other then overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka-zipped up to her throat. movies with a strong romantic or sexual themes are to be avoided; movies which feature chain saws are okay. hockey games are okay. old folks homes are better.

*Rule Nine: do not lie to me. i may appear to be a potbellied, balding, middle-aged, dimwitted has-been. but on issues relating to my daughter, i am the all-knowing, merciless god of your universe. if i ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. i have a shotgun, a shovel, and five acres behind the house. do not trifle with me.

*Rule Ten: be afraid be very afraid. it takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car int he driveway form a chopper coming in over a rice paddy near Hanoi. when my agent orange starts acting up, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean the guns as i wait for you to bring my daughter home. as soon as you pull into the driveway you should exit the car with both hands in plain sight. speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter home safely and early, the return to your car. there is no need for you to come inside. the camouflaged face at the window is mine.

this is for all the dads out there :)

how he asked

So earlier this week i was asked to homecoming. i am so excited. he asked me with a teddy bear. the bear was wearing a t-shirt. on the front it says "i would bearly be able to contain myself if you would go to homecoming with me!" then on the back it had a ton of guys names. there was a not attatched that said wash the shirt to see who is asking. so i answered him back with a cake. in the middle of the cake there was a piece of paper that said yes and it was wrapped in tin foil. then on the top of the cake i put a sign that said my answer lies within so........ DIG IN!!!
